In this character treatment project for the upcoming film "Oupa," I focused on the transformative journey of an Army General grappling with existential questions against the backdrop of war. Drawing inspiration from real-life historical figures, the narrative challenges traditional depictions of military leadership and delves into the psychological burden of foresight. The story imagines a South African officer aware of early nuclear weapon theories, reshaping his views on warfare and his place within it.As the lead visual developer, I established the project's visual identity and crafted its unique aesthetic. My responsibilities encompassed conceptualizing the main character, conducting historical research, and developing a detailed production document to guide the animation process. This multifaceted role demanded a blend of artistic creativity, strategic planning, and creative execution.
